The 3.0 release enhances the LiveProcess preparedness and response solution with a broad range of powerful new features and functionality. These include a new NIMS Compliance Tool, an enhanced Event Log, customizable reports, and more. The diverse enhancements will help Emergency Coordinators to meet their growing emergency preparedness and disaster recovery needs.
For example, on August 31st, 2007 many states required hospitals to have completed NIMS elements 9, 10, 11. These elements support continuing emergency preparedness and incident command training among appropriate responders within their hospital command structure.
The LiveProcess NIMS Compliance Tool provides a solution.
Explains Mitch Saruwatari, VP Quality and Compliance,
"The NIMS Tool functionality demystifies NIMS requirements for hospitals and describes them using healthcare terminology. Since NIMS implementation is an ongoing process, it will also allow hospitals to track their progress and generate reports at any given time."
The addition of the NIMS Compliance Assessment tool enables Emergency Coordinators to understand and address all 17 elements of NIMS Compliance as they apply specifically to healthcare. Through a simple interface, users can track their current compliance levels, their progress towards compliance over time, and the tasks associated with achieving full NIMS compliance. Graphing and report capabilities provide at-a-glance views of compliance status.

The Event Log has also been enhanced in the LiveProcess 3.0 Release. Far broader functionality supports topic-specific breakout discussions. Thus, two hospitals can have a sidebar discussion during a larger dialogue within a community of hospitals. That discussion may later be recorded in the master Event Log once the event concludes.
The General Notification engine allows customers to quickly notify any number of customized groups of urgent information. This functionality is available along with current ICS notification tools, and can be activated throughout the course of an event as well as during normal daily operations.
The redesigned Event Log puts all the functionality needed to manage an incident or exercise at the customer's fingertips. Aspects such as directed communications, inline bed availability management, general notification and more will ensure that customers can effectively respond to all events within a single component of the platform.
The LiveProcess reporting capability was augmented with a range of new reports, along with a new focus on customization.
Says Saruwatari,
"With customization, a large medical organization, hospital system or regional group of hospitals could benefit from, say, a report that demonstrates combined information for all of the hospitals in the group. That high-level, dashboard view will be an invaluable tool. Other customized reports will deliver the information needed by specific hospitals to deal with their unique circumstances."
Concludes LiveProcess founder and CEO Nathaniel Weiss,
"At LiveProcess, we really listen to the needs of our customers. We'll continue making every effort to improve the system based on their valuable feedback."
