Nathaniel Weiss
Founder and CEO
Biography
Nathaniel is a successful inventor and entrepreneur. He founded LiveProcess in 2004 with a goal to give healthcare organizations a “common language” for emergency preparedness and management. Today, hundreds of customers use the patented software platform to prepare for and respond to disasters and events. Prior to LiveProcess, Nathaniel was the CEO of GVOX, Inc., a leader in music composition and education software whose partners include Fender Guitar Corp, Excite@Home and McGraw Hill. Nathaniel developed the patented technology behind GVOX that translates sound to sheet music electronically and built it into a successful company. Nathaniel has a BSEE from the University of Pennsylvania.
Brian LeBlanc
CFO
Biography
Brian LeBlanc joins LiveProcess as Chief Financial Officer, and is responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial operations, human resources, and facility functions. With more than 20 years of executive leadership, Brian has held financial positions at several technology companies. Prior to LiveProcess, Brian was the Vice President of Finance at Sentillion, Inc., the leading provider of identity and access management solutions to the healthcare industry, and a Microsoft company; Corporate Controller for Virtual Ink, a leader in the development of collaboration technologies; Controller North America for Atex, a leading supplier to the publishing industry specializing in the development of advertising and content management systems; and Division Controller for National Computer Systems, a leading provider of trust systems to the banking industry.

Brian received a BS in Accounting from Bentley College and an MBA Finance from Babson College – Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business.

John Lubarsky
VP, Sales
Biography
John has more than 30 years experience in sales, sales management, global accounts, global partnering and industry group sales for companies including Digital Equipment Corp, SynOptics (Bay Networks) and several successful start-ups including Berkeley Networks and CacheFlow Inc. (BlueCoat Systems).

John joined LiveProcess in 2006 to oversee all sales activities. He is charged with managing and building the sales organization and developing and presenting solutions that support current and prospective customers’ objectives. Prior to LiveProcess, John was Sales Vice President for the Americas at Tandberg, a video technology leader purchased by Cisco in 2009 for more than $3 billion.

John has a B.S. Degree in Engineering from Lehigh University and a MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Mitch Saruwatari
VP, Quality and Compliance
Biography
Mitch brings more than 15 years of experience in healthcare and emergency management to LiveProcess. Mitch has held key positions at Kaiser Permanente, the nation’s largest private integrated healthcare delivery system, based in Oakland, California, including interim National Director for Healthcare Continuity Management and National Threat Assessment Manager. He has served as the Region I Disaster Medical and Health Specialist for the State of California
and is a former member of the State of California Hospital Bioterrorism Preparedness Planning Committee and Joint Advisory Committee. He is a member of the Los Angeles County CDC and HRSA Bioterrorism Advisory Committee. Mitch is a founding member of the California Disaster Interest Group and has participated in various other state and local disaster and safety committees, including serving as co-lead for the development of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) compliant Hospital Incident Command System (HICS).

In addition to his position at LiveProcess, Mitch is an instructor at the Center for Domestic Preparedness, specializing in healthcare and public health courses. He is a popular and sought-after speaker at conferences and seminars. Mitch has a Master’s degree in Public Health.

Kelly Flood
VP, Client Services
Biography
Kelly comes to LiveProcess with an extensive background in healthcare and pharmaceutical software. She has 20 years of experience designing, implementing and supporting clinical information systems in diverse environments ranging from a small startup to large corporations. As VP, Client Services at LiveProcess, Kelly is responsible for the implementation and support of all product lines. Prior to joining LiveProcess, Kelly held positions with Meditech, Fresenius Medical Care, AstraZeneca and Sentillion. As one of the first employees at Sentillion, Kelly was responsible for the formation of the client services group. Most recently, Kelly was Director of Client Services at Perceptive Informatics, and was responsible for managing the implementation and support of clinical trial IVR systems for industry-leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies.

Kelly holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University and a Master’s Degree in Computer Information Systems from Bentley College.

 

George Hartz
VP, Development
Biography
As VP of Development, George brings 15 years of experience to LiveProcess in applying business understanding and broad technical skills to professional software development. He has eight years years of experience in the healthcare software space, serving as Chief Architect at Sentillion prior to its acquisition by Microsoft, and as a Principal Architect in Microsoft’s Health Solutions Group. At Sentillion, George was responsible for the technology behind a broad suite of healthcare-centric identity, access management and virtualization products. During his tenure at Microsoft, George collaborated across Microsoft on enterprise identity and security issues, integration of the Sentillion technology into Microsoft, and led the architecture and implementation of new healthcare software products. In his role as VP of Development at LiveProcess, George is responsible for the technical vision, architecture and development of LiveProcess’ product suite.
