ROBERT SELIGER

Board Chairman

Rob was CEO and Co-Founder of Sentillion (now part of Microsoft Corporation), a provider of identity and access management solutions for the healthcare industry. Rob is widely recognized as a visionary at the forefront of converging technical, market, and clinical trends in healthcare. His guidance and foresight at Sentillion resulted in the creation of a formidable company as well as a thriving new market segment for healthcare information technology. Prior to Sentillion, Rob was a distinguished scientist, senior R&D manager, and chief architect of an international team responsible for the development of Hewlett-Packard Medical Product Group’s largest portfolio of clinical information system products.

NATHANIEL WEISS

Board Member
CEO, LiveProcess

Nathaniel is a successful inventor and entrepreneur. He founded LiveProcess in 2004 with a goal to give healthcare organizations a “common language” for emergency preparedness and management. Today, hundreds of customers use the patented software platform to prepare for and respond to disasters and event. Prior to LiveProcess, Nathaniel was the CEO of GVOX, Inc., a leader in music composition and education software whose partners include Fender Guitar Corp, Excite@Home and McGraw Hill. Nathaniel developed the patented technology behind GVOX that translates sound to sheet music electronically and built it into a successful company. Nathaniel has a BSEE from the University of Pennsylvania.

CARTER MEYER

Board Member
CEO, Scientific Health Development

Carter has been the chief executive officer of Scientific Health Development, Ltd. (“SHD”) since its formation in February 2006 and is a director of a number of SHD portfolio companies. Prior to joining SHD, he was an attorney in private practice for more than 12 years, most recently with the Dallas office of Vinson & Elkins L.L.P. As an attorney, Carter focused on commercial transactions with substantial experience buying, selling, financing and making investments in both public and private entities. Carter has a B.B.A. in finance from Texas Christian University and a J.D. from St. Marys University School of Law.

JEFF ROSICHAN

Board Member
Managing Director and Vice Chairman, Equity Capital Markets, Deutsche Bank

Jeff has significant experience across the equity, equity-linked and debt capital raising process. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, he was at Banc of America Securities as Head of U.S. ECM, and at Merrill Lynch in ECM and corporate finance, including a position as Head of Investment Banking in Hong Kong. Jeff had come into banking after a career as an M&A and securities lawyer at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and a CPA at Arthur Young & Co. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles and a JD from the University of California, Hastings College of Law. Jeff is also a Certified Public Accountant.

DR. MARK BLATT

Director, Healthcare Industry Solutions, Intel Corp.

As the Director for Healthcare Industry Solutions in the Digital Health Group, Dr. Blatt concentrates on how HIT infrastructure can enable providers to deliver cost effective, quality care to a wide cohort of citizens. He has a particular interest in Mobile Point of Care, Secure Computing and Care Delivery reform. Previous roles at Intel include the Director for Global Healthcare Strategies, where he helped design Intel’s Payor and Pharma strategy as well as worked with the team that brought Intel’s Mobile Clinical Assistant (MCA) computing platform to market. Prior to joining Intel, Dr. Blatt was the managing partner of a five-provider group in Family Practice. He practiced family medicine for 15 years before returning to Yale University to earn his MBA (2000) in finance. Dr. Blatt earned his Medical Doctorate at Albany Medical College of Union University (1979).

DR. DAVID R. ARTZ

David R. Artz, MD is Medical Director of Information Systems/Chief Medical Information Officer at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and an Associate Attending Physician (Associate Professor) in the Department of Medicine. Prior to joining Memorial Sloan-Kettering, Dr. Artz was Medical Director of Information Services at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a physician in the faculty practice and General Internal Medicine group of Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine. He has an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Health Industry Management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He trained in Internal Medicine at Boston City Hospital and obtained his MD from West Virginia University.

STEVE JACKSON

Steve Jackson is Senior Director of Business Development for Vocera Communications, a leading provider of hands-free voice communication systems for hospitals and health systems. Steve is responsible for strategic planning, industry alliances, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Vocera, he held positions of increasing responsibility at The Advisory Board Company, Neoforma, and Stockamp & Associates. Steve graduated with honors from the University of California, Davis.
