VERONA, NJ (September 25, 2008) – LiveProcess, the leader in healthcare emergency preparedness and incident management, announced today that it will be among the exhibitors at "Disaster Planning for California Hospitals," a statewide conference for hospital executives, disaster planning teams and community partners. The conference is planned for October 1-3, 2008 at the Sacramento (CA) Convention Center.
The conference is sponsored by the California Hospital Association. Co-sponsors include the California Department of Public Health, Emergency Medical Services Authority, Governors Office of Emergency Services and Governors Office of Homeland Security.
Seminars will cover such topics as earthquake risk, lessons from the recent San Diego fires, disaster boot camp, fatality management, scalable events and disaster planning, trauma surge, caring and preparing for pediatric patients during a disaster, evacuating healthcare facilities and more.
Presenters will include representatives from a wide variety of organizations, including the Joint Commission, California Emergency Medical Services Authority, Harvard School of Public Health, Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Services Agency; California Department of Public Health Vital Records Unit, as well as prestigious medical centers such as University of California, San Diego Medical Center, Scripps Health and Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles.
LiveProcess recently welcomed hospitals in California's fourth largest county on board when it signed an agreement with the Riverside County Department of Public Health and the county's 15 hospitals.
